This is Arnold's first lead role after Terminator 3. If you've missed the classic action-packed films with heavily-accented lines, this film is for you. For the rest, it may also be an opportunity to see if his stint as Governor has made any impact on his acting skills.

[March 2013]
I have been going back-and-forth with this month's highlight. There are 2 films which I think are worthy of the highlight spot in March, and I will be highlighting both of them. It works out fine as well, since its the school holiday this month, why not treat your friends, family and yourself to more movies?
Highlight of the month
Oz: The Great and Powerful
![]() |
| I'm bringin' wizzie back! |
Language: English
Run Time: N.A.
Genre: Adventure, Action, Fantasy
Director: Sam Raimi
Starring: James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and cast
Date-of-Release: 7 March 2013 (Malaysia) // 8 March 2013 (USA)
What is it about?
A stage magician (James Franco) is hurled into a fantasy world, and must use his wits
to stay ahead of three enchantresses who have plans for him.
Adapted from L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", the film explores the land of Oz in a timeline prior to the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz".
Why the anticipation?
The film is directed by Sam Raimi (Director of the Spider-Man Trilogy), and its lead role (The Wizard of Oz) will be played by James Franco (Rise of the Planet of the Apes). If this sexy, smouldering actor is not a good enough reason to watch the film, he is also joined by an equally-talented line-up of actresses.
Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn and Brokeback Mountain), Rachel Weisz (The Mummy), as well as Mila Kunis (Black Swan) will be playing Glinda--The Good Witch of the South, Evanora--The Wicked Witch of the East, and Theodora--The Wicked Witch of the West respectively.
From the trailer, it seems like the film will consist of a good mixture of action, adventure and fantasy, as provided in Spider-Man trilogy and Alice In Wonderland. (Yes, Joe Roth - the producer of Alice In Wonderland & Snow White and the Huntsman, is also the producer for this film)
On papers, it seems like a good compilation of casts and crews, and I eagerly await the end-result of this collaboration.
Tagline: Find yourself in Oz.

What is it about?
The world's very first prehistoric family goes on a road trip to an uncharted and fantastical world.
Why the anticipation?
I think we could expect another good animated-film as The Croods will be directed by Chris Sanders who was also the director of Lilo & Stitch as well as How to Train Your Dragon.
The Croods will be the perfect school holiday movie that you could enjoy with your kids, family or younger friends. Otherwise, just use this as an excuse to be a kid at heart for a couple of hours.
