What is it about?
Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that
transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice - The Lone Ranger.
Why the anticipation?
Johnny Depp is definitely the crowd's favourite. Having bagged countless awards from the People's Choice Awards for Favourite Movie Actor, the appearance of Johnny Depp's name in any movie seemed to have sparked a "must-watch" craze among regular movie-goers.
Fans of Johnny Depp's "Captain Jack Sparrow" comedy could also expect similar comic relief from his character in The Lone Ranger. (You've got to watch the trailer!)
With an estimated $250 mil budget, The Lone Ranger should be a well-invested blockbuster with decent cinematics. Definitely a film to look out for in 2013.

What is it about?
In order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) and his
friends head into the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden
Fleece.
Why the anticipation?
Okay, I know that the first film in the series, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Lightning Thief may have received mixed reviews, but I genuinely find the plot quite refreshing, with Greek mythology blended into the everyday's life of modern society. The first film may have placed too much emphasis on the humour aspect and not enough on character development, hence making the film less emotional.
After watching the first film, I have read the book series and I do think that this series has potential to develop as a stronger movie series. Thus I am looking forward to Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, hoping that this film will help redeem the series.

The town's most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is a sequel to the 2005 film Sin City.
Why the anticipation?
This neo-noir film stands out among the more colourful films made in recent years. Combining modern cinematic techniques and the historic film noir genre, A Dame to Kill For would be a good film if you are looking for something different in the cinema than the usual Hollywood blockbusters.
American Sweetheart Jessica Alba and her fellow female cast members should provide the much-needed dark and saucy scenes in the film that centres the femme fatale ideology.

Why the anticipation?
The 2012 film The Hunger Games has taken the world by storm despite its relatively-minuscule budget. The film has received generally positive reception as it and its casts have bagged countless awards including 6 awards at the People's Choice Awards 2013.
Catching Fire will introduce more new characters (since most of them have already been killed off in the first film). It will also showcase just how far the Government of the Capitol would go to keep its political hold over the other districts and what violence they would impose on another human being in the name of entertainment.
