I think that the main focus of the film is on Parker's formidable fighting skills and his witty plans. The fight and gun-fight scenes are thrilling, gory and satisfying. On top of that, both Parker and Leslie have provided comical relief which lighted up the film at appropriate moments.

Parker also opened this week, starring Jason Statham (from the Transporter and The Expendables series) and the bootylicious Jennifer Lopez. The KayElleGuy was kinda excited to catch JLo on the silver-screen again (Its the first movie starring JLo that I'm watching after Maid In Manhattan). First, let's see what the movie is about.

(Read on for Parker review)
I admit that I was rather sceptical about the film at the beginning. While the plot is rather predictable, the opening scenes were rather interesting and looked promising. However, looking at it from a different point of view, having a predictable plot also means that its easily understood. The funny thing is I was able to predict those 'surprise' scenes like whenever someone attacks from behind and stuff, that's basically how predictable Parker was. That aside, I have rather enjoyed the action scenes where Jason's character was very Bond-like.
Jason Statham played his character well, portraying an honourable thief with underlying self-confidence and dignity. His character was very resourceful and was even able to pull off the Southern accent well enough. JLo played a financially and emotionally-frustrated divorced real estate agent who would do what it takes to get out of the rut she was in. I love both of them in their characters, and I find the act believable.
There isn't very elaborated cinematography involved in the film, but I love the location they have chosen for the movie. Viewers were treated to a peek into the too-expensive-to-buy properties on Palm Beach, Florida. It helped to illustrate the inner-frustration of JLo's character who was always surrounded by the rich and famous, but couldn't even settle her car loan which pushed her into committing to help Parker.
I think that the main focus of the film is on Parker's formidable fighting skills and his witty plans. The fight and gun-fight scenes are thrilling, gory and satisfying. On top of that, both Parker and Leslie have provided comical relief which lighted up the film at appropriate moments.
Parker is your average crime/thriller movie with predictable plot and good action scenes. It's a good movie to watch with friends and your partner on a fun night out. For Malaysian viewers, expect heavy censorship during at least 2 scenes in the movie which contain sexual content and extremely gore image.
